A construction company website for Athecon Projects
Athecon Projects does concrete formwork and wood framing on apartment buildings, daycares and public projects across Vancouver Island. Its buyers are developers and general contractors, and they want to see the work.
The client and what they needed
Athecon is based in Port Alberni and works across the Island, from Nanaimo and Courtenay to Tofino and Ahousaht. Its jobs are large: the 4th and Mar apartments in Port Alberni (a five-storey affordable housing building), daycares in Courtenay and Port Alberni, a longhouse in Ahousaht.
A company like this is not chosen from a search ad. It is checked: a general contractor or a project manager looks it up after a referral and wants proof of scale, safety and capacity. The site also had to help with hiring, because a framing crew is always short of people. This was a new website design, built for a contractor whose clients are other businesses.
What we built
Two service pages
Concrete formwork and wood framing each have their own page, so each can be found on its own search.
Safety and company stats
A safety section and a stats band on the home page, using the figures the company supplied.
Careers with resume upload
Applicants attach a resume (PDF, Word or text, up to 8 MB) and it arrives in the inbox with the application.
Spam-protected forms
Both the contact and careers forms have a honeypot field and a per-IP rate limit, and send through Resend.
A digital business card
A short link opens the owner’s card with a vCard that saves straight to Contacts on iPhone and Android.
How it works for their clients
A developer who hears the name opens athecon.com, sees the stats and the safety commitment on the first screens, then goes to Projects and filters by eye: apartments, daycares, foundations, towns they know. Each project opens into a full gallery. The phone number and email are in the header and footer of every page.
For search, the site carries GeneralContractor structured data with the company address and the towns it serves, plus a sitemap and breadcrumb markup on inner pages. We wrote a single company record in the code so the name, address and phone are identical everywhere, which matters for local listings. More on that in our local SEO service.
