Downtown shops and cafés
Often a one-page site at CAD $790: what you sell, hours, map, phone and a few good photos, live in about a week.
Ladysmith, Chemainus and Saltair
Ladysmith is close enough to our Nanaimo studio that meeting in person is easy. We build hand-coded websites for businesses in Ladysmith, Chemainus, Saltair and Cassidy, with published prices and a fixed quote before anything starts.
Ladysmith's heritage downtown, the harbour and Transfer Beach bring people in from up and down the Island, and the Trans-Canada Highway runs right past the town. Many businesses on First Avenue serve two groups: locals who know exactly where they are, and drivers who searched “coffee Ladysmith” or “lunch near Ladysmith” a few minutes before the turn-off.
For the second group, the website is often the whole decision. It needs hours, a menu or product list, parking and a map, readable at a glance on a phone. For locals it needs to be correct: holiday hours, events like the Festival of Lights, and anything that changed since last month.
Chemainus is known for its murals and its theatre, and it draws day visitors who plan ahead. Businesses there need pages that work for someone planning the trip from Nanaimo, Victoria or the mainland, with directions and opening times up front. Saltair and Yellow Point are mostly rural and residential, so the searches are for home services: landscaping, renovations, electrical, septic. Cassidy, by Nanaimo Airport, sits between the two towns, and a business there often serves both and should say so.
Athecon Projects, a construction client of ours, did the concrete formwork for an addition to the Ladysmith Thrift Store, and their project gallery lists jobs by town. That is the model we recommend for any trade around here: real projects, named by place. Our page on websites for contractors explains how we set it up.
“Did a fantastic job on my business website, great communication and a little back and forth we dialed the website in to perfection! He even customized my logo a bit more which made it better than my first iteration.”

Clinics, salons, fitness and therapy. Online booking from CAD $350, or an AI assistant from CAD $100 per month that answers common questions after hours.
A one-page site is CAD $790, a Starter site of 1 to 5 pages is CAD $970 to $2,000, and a Business site of 6 to 12 pages is CAD $2,500 to $4,500. We are in Nanaimo, about 25 minutes north, and we are glad to come down to Ladysmith to meet. Everything else runs as it does for our Nanaimo web design clients: a written quote, two rounds of design changes, a hand-coded build and 30 days of free fixes after launch.
