Hand-coded, no templates
Built from scratch in Next.js. No theme you share with a hundred other businesses, no page builder slowing the site down.
Website design
We design and hand-code websites for small businesses in Nanaimo and the rest of Vancouver Island. You talk to the person who builds the site, get a fixed written quote, and own everything at the end. Most sites go live 1 to 3 weeks after the content arrives.
Most people who find your site are holding a phone and comparing you with two or three other local businesses. They decide in a few seconds whether you do the job they need and whether you are easy to reach. A site that takes a long time to load, hides the phone number at the bottom, or still lists last year's prices loses that person to the next result.
So we start from the visitor's job, not from a template. A plumber needs a number in the header that dials on tap. A gymnastics school needs class times and an easy way to sign up. A renovation company needs photos of finished rooms and a quote form that accepts pictures. The design follows from that.
Every site is hand-coded with Next.js, with no page builder underneath. That is why our pages stay light and quick on a phone, and why there are no plugins to update or break. If you want to understand the trade-off in plain numbers, read website builder vs web designer and our breakdown of what a website costs in Nanaimo in 2026.
Built from scratch in Next.js. No theme you share with a hundred other businesses, no page builder slowing the site down.
We design the phone version first, because that is where most of your visitors are. The desktop version is built from it, not squeezed down to it.
Compressed images, minimal scripts and hosting on a global CDN (Vercel), so pages open quickly even on a weak signal outside town.
Structured data (schema.org), a sitemap, Google Analytics and Search Console are connected before the site goes live.
A contact form that lands in your inbox and a phone number that dials on tap, placed where people look for them.
Domain, code and content are yours. A monthly plan is optional, and you can move the site anywhere.
Every quote is fixed and in writing before work starts. These are the starting points.

50% to start, 50% at launch. Two rounds of design changes are included in every quote.
We talk about your business, who your customers are and what the site must do. You get a written price that does not change unless you add something.
We agree on the pages and what goes on each one. If writing is not your thing, copywriting is available per page.
You see the design on a real link, on your own phone. Two rounds of changes are built in; most clients use one.
We build, connect the domain, set up Google tools and go live. A one-page site takes about a week.
Small fixes are free for 30 days, and anything we built that breaks within 12 months is fixed at no charge.
“Did a fantastic job on my business website, great communication and a little back and forth we dialed the website in to perfection! He even customized my logo a bit more which made it better than my first iteration.”
The studio is in Nanaimo, and most of our clients are on the Island: Lantzville and Ladysmith, Parksville and Qualicum Beach, Courtenay, Comox, Duncan and Victoria. The work happens remotely, with a call or an in-person visit when it helps. See what that looks like for web design in Nanaimo or web design in Parksville and Qualicum Beach.
If you work in the trades, there is a separate page on websites for contractors, because a roofer's site has different jobs than a dance studio's. If you already have a site that is slow or hard to update, start with a website redesign instead.
Tell us about your business and what you need, or pick a time for a 15‑minute call. We'll reply within 1 business day with a fixed quote or the questions we need answered.
